The Administration Tool can quickly obtain the database connection information it needs from an ODBC data source, rather than requiring the connection string to be entered manually.
Create an ODBC Data Source as follows:
- Open the Data Sources (ODBC) in Windows Administrative Tools.
- Open the System DSN tab and click Add…
- Select the SQL Server driver and click Finish.
- Enter the database details:
- Name: CAEAdministrationTool (this name is not required).
- Description: Expere Content Database.
- Server: the SQL Server name.
- Click Finish.
